Important Information on Refunds

Should you buy a ticket for an AUK event and later find that you are unable to attend, you can apply for a refund up to four weeks prior to the event at the organiser’s discretion. An admin fee of £5 will be applied per ticket refunded to any refund given. Please see our Events - Terms and Conditions for full details.

Winternights Bunkhouse Community Moot (age 18+ only please)

Dates: 25th - 28th October 

Location: Bracken Tor, Saxongate, Okehampton, Devon, EX20 1QW 

Facilities:

 • Self-catering: Guests have access to a self-catering kitchen. 

 • Parking: Onsite parking available for 10-15 cars but can be increased if cars are staying put.  

 • Adequately lit parking area and drop-off point.

 • WiFi: Free WiFi available in shared social spaces. 

 • Pet Policy: no pets for this event, apologies

The Winternights Bunkhouse Community Moot is set to take place from the 25th to the 28th of October at Bracken Tor, Saxongate, Okehampton, Devon. 

Situated within the Dartmoor National Park, the hostel boasts two 2-storey buildings, Bracken Tor House and The Lodge, nestled in approximately 4 acres of grounds with direct access to open Moorland from the site. We are currently planning some exciting excursions on the moors and the details will be revealed in due course.   

Accessibility:

 • One ground floor bedroom is wheelchair accessible and equipped with visual aids. However, some guests may find accessing bunk beds challenging. 

 • The roads leading to the hostel have an uneven surface and can be steep, with limited street lighting and no pavements. 

Pre-Arrival Information: 

• Nearest Rail Station: Exeter St. David’s, located 22 miles away. 

• Nearest Bus Stop: Approximately a mile from the hostel, accessible via a 15-minute walk or 5-minute taxi ride. Regular bus services to Exeter, Launceston, and Tavistock are available. 

• Local Taxi Services: Accessible taxis can be arranged in advance.
